Once the Lockdown is lifted – Hotels and Restaurants are going to be hard pressed to re -evaluate decades of processes written in stone to cope with new ways to improve the health and safety standards which is going to take huge amounts of time and money the government should either implement (as earlier suggested) a easing on GT for this financial year else just impose a flat GST value of 10% for hotels and restaurants for a period of at least 5 years. tourism hubs like Thailand has a fixed GST value at 7 % while Bali , indonesia has 10% – simple. Lower the GST and allow these business to breathe a little and if it works let it be a permanent rule
