Food Processing Centers


A significant percentage of fresh farm produce goes to waste because of insufficient consumption at the source. While cold storage units are one way to prevent produce from spoiling, basic food processing is a great way to avoid spoilage and generate extra income for farmers by diversifying their products.
This could simply be absorbed under the village level knowledge centers or take root of its own as a separate entity that purely specializes in processing and preserving fresh farm produce.
These can be sold at local community markets.
